CRCA Announces the 2024 Roofing Canada Award Winner

May 16, 2024 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – At it’s Conference Award luncheon this past week, the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) announced Toitures R. Martin Ltée from Quebec City, Quebec is the recipient of the 2024 Roofing Canada Award.

The restoration of the steeples at L‘Eglise St-Charles in Vieux-Limoilou, Quebec involved more than 12,000 hours of workshop and on-site labour, 8000 square feet of material and meticulous dismantling of decorative elements that needed to be duplicated in the shop. Blueprints and old photos were utilized to reproduce the original decorative components to compensate for missing pieces and material changes.

During the project duration from May 2022 to March 2023, varied wind or snow conditions, made the job more difficult than usual for the personnel working at the heights of the steeples. “CRCA received a number of entries, the selection committee’s decision was not an easy one,” said Jim Facette, CRCA Executive Director, “Each entry demonstrated the exceptional workmanship and commitment to quality that our members possess.”

The Roofing Canada Award is awarded by the CRCA Board of Directors recognizing a project completed by a CRCA member based on outstanding workmanship, innovation, and dedication to the roofing industry and to the community.
