CRCA announces recipients of Honorary Membership Awards

May 6, 2020 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Canadian Roofing Contractors Association is pleased to announce that in 2019/2020, John Wells and Serge LaFleur were awarded Honorary Membership Awards.

In December 2019, CRCA welcomed John Wells as a CRCA Honorary member. John’s contributions over a 50-year career were numerous as both an industry consultant and past Technical Manager at RCABC. He was actively involved with IIBEC, CSC and contributed to many technical committees and publications. Sadly, John lost his battle with an illness and passed away in February 2020.

The second recipient of a CRCA Honorary member is Serge LaFleur. Serge was President of Norman & Collie and in 2019 he retired from the industry. His contributions to the Quebec Master Roofers Association (QMRA / AMCQ) and to CRCA were abundant. He served as a CRCA Board of Director for close to 10 years, as CRCA President in 2003/2004 and ROOFTech Chair in 2011. Serge also served many years as CRCA’s representative on the NRCA Board of Directors.

The CRCA Honorary Membership Award recognizes a person for their significant contribution to the advancement of the Association and or the roofing and related sheet metal industry.
