Propane is classified as liquefied petroleum gas and is a dangerous good classified as Class 2.1 UN1075. A TDG label shown below is red and should be placed on the shoulder of the cylinder/tank and be visible from outside the vehicle.

The transportation of propane cylinders/tanks is regulated by the Government under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.

PERSONS TRANSPORTING PROPANE SHOULD COMPLETE A TDG SAFETY TRAINING COURSE.
