CRCA Awards Honorary Membership to Murray Tysowski

Ottawa, ON — June 6, 2026 — The Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) is proud to announce that Murray Tysowski, President of Aurora Roofing Ltd., has been awarded Honorary Membership in the Association, one of CRCA’s most distinguished recognitions.

The honour was presented during the CRCA President’s Gala and Awards Dinner on May 29, 2026, held as part of the Association’s National Conference in Québec City.

Recognizing a Lifetime of Contribution and Leadership

Honorary Membership is bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to both the Association and the Canadian roofing industry.

Murray Tysowski’s career exemplifies these qualities. As the founder and President of Aurora Roofing Ltd., established in 1979, he has built a company grounded in quality, integrity, and craftsmanship.

Beyond his professional success, Murray has demonstrated a deep commitment to industry leadership and volunteerism. He served on the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC) Board of Directors for over a decade and played an active role on multiple committees supporting membership, safety, and industry engagement.

A Leader at Both Provincial and National Levels

Murray’s contributions extend nationally through his involvement with CRCA. He served as the RCABC representative to CRCA from 2017 to 2023 and held the role of CRCA President in 2022, providing leadership during a pivotal period for the Association.

Throughout his tenure, Murray has been recognized for his professionalism, mentorship, and dedication to advancing the roofing profession across Canada.

Recognized by His Peers

Over the years, Murray has received several industry honours, including the Douglas Kirkpatrick Award in 2016 and the Kenneth J. Grant Award in 2022, both recognizing his outstanding contributions and commitment to the industry.

“These recognitions reflect the respect, and admiration Murray has earned from his peers,” said Paul Forgues, Executive Director of CRCA. “His leadership, generosity, and passion for the industry have made a lasting impact on both the Association and the broader roofing community.”
