Hot rubberized roofing consists of asphalts blended with elastomers and polymers that are hot applied to form a monolithic roofing membrane.

A hot rubberized membrane is typically used as the waterproofing membrane in a protected membrane roofing assembly. A typical hot rubberized roof assembly is composed of the following:

• Primer
• Rubberized membrane
• Separation sheet
• Thermal insulation
• Covering: ballast, pavers or vegetation
