Gravel spreaders can be hand operated being either pulled or pushed by one or two people and others are engine driven. With any spreader, the amount of gravel spread can be adjusted to suit the job. Using a gravel spreader causes dust and fumes from the hot asphalt to be released in the air near the operations. For this reason, when operating the machines, you should always wear proper respirators for protection against concentrations of fumes, and dust.
CAUTION: Keep all respirators and safety equipment in sanitary condition and use the proper type of respirator for the job
