Alliances
Collaboration is critical for CRCA to achieve its mandate and serve its members. Our aim is to complement the efforts of provincial roofing contractor associations on a national and international level. Part of this work is creating alliances within the North American roofing industry.
CRCA Provincial Roofing Alliances include:
Provincial Affiliated Roofing Contractor Associations
RCABC – Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia
When we first opened our doors back in 1958 our purpose was simple; we wanted to bring together professional roofing contractors, manufacturers and suppliers who are dedicated to the promotion and protection of the public interest in everything that relates to roofing. Our mission is to give our members the training, technical support and leadership to enable them to offer their customers the highest quality roofing practices, guarantees and business ethics in the roofing and related industries in BC. RCABC established the first roofing guarantee that’s backed by both the contractor who does the work and the RCABC itself. It’s called the RoofStar Guarantee and is based on having qualified contractors, well-trained installers, accepted standards for materials, and independent inspections. That means only roofs built by RCABC members can be covered by the RoofStar Guarantee. We don’t just stop there, we also take a proactive role in advancing roofing technology and built the RCABC training centre, the first educational facility in North America designed for and dedicated to training the entire roofing industry.
ARCA – Alberta Roofing Contractors Association
ARCA was established in 1961 by a group of Calgary and Edmonton roofing contractors. The association’s primary objective, then and now, is to develop comprehensive guidelines for roofing product applications to support and advance Alberta’s roofing industry. ARCA members annually perform approximately 70% of Alberta’s Industrial/Commercial roofing applications — new and re-roof. Only ARCA members can issue the Warranty Certificate, which is a workmanship warranty backed by ARCA Warranty Ltd.
SRCA – Saskatchewan Roofing Contractors Association
Through the SRCA and since 1963, members have access to the training, information and technological expertise they need to maintain the highest professional standards and provide customers with the highest possible quality of roofing practices and business ethics. The Association is also an active promoter of safe work practices. Since its inception, the SRCA has served as a forum for members and their customers to express, discuss and resolve problems, concerns and issues related to the commercial and industrial roofing industry. The Association encourages members to learn from the experts, from those they serve and from each other. Today, SRCA members are well equipped to help their customers deal with the challenges of a changing industry and a fast growing, fast paced Saskatchewan economy.
