Bien qu\u2019on puisse utiliser n\u2019importe quel type de syst\u00e8me, le plus courant est la pose libre ou sans attache. Les surfaces en b\u00e9ton et les autres surfaces de couverture exigeront l\u2019installation d\u2019une couche de s\u00e9paration par dessus le platelage afin de pr\u00e9venir l\u2019endommagement de la membrane par suite des rides ou des bavures se trouvant sur la surface du platelage. On installe la membrane de la fa\u00e7on d\u00e9crite auparavant. On place une feuille de s\u00e9paration par dessus la membrane termin\u00e9e avant de poser l\u2019isolant, afin de pr\u00e9venir le contact entre l\u2019isolant en polystyr\u00e8ne et la membrane.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois la feuille de s\u00e9paration install\u00e9e, on d\u00e9pose l\u2019isolant par dessus, sans attaches. Une fois l\u2019isolant install\u00e9, on \u00e9tend le tissu filtrant sur toute la surface. Chevauchez le tissu d\u2019au moins 300 mm (12 po) et remontez par dessus le lest \u00e0 tous les p\u00e9rim\u00e8tres, bordures et p\u00e9n\u00e9trations. \u00c9tendez uniform\u00e9ment le gravier \u00e0 un taux minimum de 50 kg\/m\u00b2 (10lb\/ pi\u00b2) ou tel qu\u2019indiqu\u00e9 par le fabricant de la membrane et\/ou par la conception du projet. D\u2019autres lests pourraient \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 cause des exigences particuli\u00e8res en mati\u00e8re de soul\u00e8vement par le vent. Ne <strong>jamais<\/strong> \u00e9pandre plus de gravier que la quantit\u00e9 stipul\u00e9e, sinon vous risquez de surcharger la couverture.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019eau doit bien s\u2019\u00e9couler sur les couvertures \u00e0 membrane prot\u00e9g\u00e9e.
